 OUR FOUNDER

Meet Shana

Shana Renzi is a talented, compassionate, and fully insured Skin Care Specialist with dual licensure in NJ & PA. She has studied skin care with both PB Cosmetology Education Centre and the International Dermal Institute, and is presently under the mentorship of JoElle Lee.

Shana began her career in the beauty industry as a freelance makeup artist working in print, film, and television, traveling for various projects in Switzerland, India, France, and the UK. Her most consistent clients were those with multicultural skin, and Shana embraces being a service provider for all skin types and skin tones to this day.

Having sensitive skin herself, she is passionate about the connection between skin barrier health and most skin concerns. She previously worked in facilitating various wellness retreats and sessions, and became inspired in her own practices of self care, including touches of mindfulness, meditation, and moderation. She eventually integrated some of these practices with her own skin care regimens, finding a way to utilize skin care as a gateway to inspire and manage her overall well-being.

Shana has adopted a balanced approach between both medical aesthetics and wellness-driven aesthetics, landing squarely in the middle with the thought that science and wellness, art and personalization can, and do, go hand-in-hand for the betterment of her clients.

Facets of Skin Aesthetics Gives Back.

Since Shana has a background in non profit, giving back is super important to FSA. If there is one thing Shana has learned, it is that the aesthetics industry has become quite competitive.

Continuing education can help newer aestheticians set themselves apart and find promising opportunities as they begin to build their careers. We also know that multicultural skin is not included nearly enough in traditional aesthetics education.

The history of ignoring the particular needs of multicultural skin, as well as miseducating practitioners, is deep and long. So in our first year of business we are committing to donating one scholarship for JoElle Lee’s “Learn to Treat Multicultural Skin Effectively and Confidently” to a deserving, graduating skin care student at PB Cosmetology Education Centre. We are a brand new business, and we know we may make mistakes as we navigate giving back.  Please be patient with us as we learn.

FSA is also proud to offer all healthcare workers, essential workers, and mental health professionals 20% off services and products.  To redeem, please provide proof of employment upon request.

Acknowledgements

Hi, there!  Shana here to say a special thanks to the people who have most influenced my career in aesthetics.  While countless people have contributed to who I am as a whole person, and of course I am grateful, I feel it necessary to highlight those people who have made significant contributions to both inspiring me and educating me as an aesthetician.

All of these women are incredibly talented and knowledgeable. They have made significant contributions to both our industry and their niche, and possess the hearts of true educators.

While I happily paid for their courses, I would be remiss if I did not publicly, and humbly, acknowledge them.  In alphabetical order by first name:
